Andhra Pradesh PG Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) 2018
The Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission into various courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh (AP) for admission into Post Graduate Courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy (ME / M.Tech./ M.Pharmacy).
Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education was established in 1988. APSCHE lays down the standards in institutions of Higher Education, Research, Scientific & Technical Institutions. APSCHE is a coordinating body between the University Grants Commission (UGC), the State Government and the Universities. It advises the government on matters relating to higher education in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
AP PGECET will be conducted by APSCHE from May 10 to May 12, 2018 in two sessions from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm. The AP PGECET Results 2018 will be announced on May 20, 2018.
Eligibility Criteria for AP PGECET 2018To be eligible for AP PGECET 2018, the candidates should fulfill the following criteria-
Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.
Candidates should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh. They should satisfy local or non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended
Candidates should have obtained a relevant Bachelors qualifying degree or its equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Pharmacy courses.
Candidates who are pursuing a B.Tech or its equivalent / B.pharm. course shall be eligible for entry into the relevant M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharmacy courses provided they have completed the prescribed course and passed all the subjects for the award of degree by the concerned university on the date of counselling for admission into the colleges.

Examination Pattern of AP PGECET 2018AP PGECET 2018 will be a Computer-based examination. The examination will be conducted in English medium and will consist of 120 Multiple choice objective type questions of one mark each. There will be no negative marking for the wrong answers.
