Know more about the State Madrassa Education Board Assam (SMEBA)

The State Madrassa Education Board, Assam (SMEBA) offers the 12 (twelve) years duration of courses of theology as well as general education. The details are as follows:

Three Years Courses of Pre-Senior Section: which covers the courses of main stream education of upper primary students as well as basic theology of Islam.

Two Years Courses of Madrassa Matriculation: which covers the courses of main stream education of secondary standards of Assam as well as the primary education of Islam. It is worthy to mention that the certificate offered by the Board to the successful candidates of Madrassa Matriculation Examination (this section) is equivalent to HSLC or Xth standard examination of any Board / Council etc.

Two years Madrassa Intermediate Courses: which covers the main stream course of Higher Secondary Level as well as the main theology of Islam.

Three Years Bachelor of Madrassa B.M. (Fazil al-Ma'arif) Courses: which is theology subjects only and the same courses are treated as the graduate degree in the field of theology.

Two Years Master of Madrassa M.M. (Mumtaz al Muhaddithin) Courses: which is theology subjects only and the same courses are considered / regarded as the Post-Graudation Degree in the field of theology.
