A total of 5,17,847 students passed the exam with a pass percentage of 90.55, (lower than 2021’s pass percentage of 97.89). Constituted under the Odisha Secondary Education Act, 1953, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha conducts the Class 10th (Annual HSC) Examinations for nearly 6 lakh students each year.

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has conducted the Odisha High School Certificate (HSC - Class 10) Summative Assessment II Examination 2023 from March 10, 2023 till March 20, 2023. The Vocational Trade Practical Exam 2023 was also scheduled between February 15 & 22, 2023. As per the Board, the Annual HSC Summative Assessment 1&2 Exams 2023 was mandatory for all students.
