Tamil Nadu HSC Examination Results 2018

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) announces the TN Class 12th Result (Tamilnadu HSC Results 2018) for students acrosss the state each year in the second week of May. The TN Class 12th Result i.e the Tamil Nadu HSC Results 2018, is announced from the headquarters of the DGE located at Chennai (Tamil Nadu).

In 2017, the Tamil Nadu HSC Results i.e. the TN Class 12th Result was announced on May 12. This year too, the TN 12th Result 2018 i.e the Tamil Nadu HSC Results 2018 are expected to be announced around the same date on the Department's official website and through SMS, IVRS etc.

Lakhs of student appeared for 12th Class Examinations which was held at various centres of the state. Last year, a total of 8,93,262 students had appeared for TN Class 12th examination. The overall pass percentage was 92.1 percent.

Provision for retotaling of marks

Candidates not pleased with the stated result may apply for the retotaling of marks. Tamil Nadu has a scheme for only retotaling marks and has no provision for re-evaluation of the entire mark sheet. Relevant form for retotaling must be submitted on or before the last date fixed by the board. For failure candidates, Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) Tamil Nadu gives an opportunity to save a year with Supplementary Examinations.
