INTRODUCTION:

The Telangana State (TS) Physical Education Common Entrance Test (TS PECET 2018) is the entrance exam for physical education conducted by the Mahatma Gandhi University Nalgonda on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). This examination is conducted every year for students who are willing to get admission into various courses like B.P.Ed (2 years) and D.P.Ed (2years)in the state of Telangana.

The PECET is divided into two parts-
Physical Efficiency Test
Skill Test in Game

Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE):

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education commonly known as TSCHE was established by the government of Telangana in 2014. After the division of the state’s Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the TSCHE formed seven universities. The TSCHE conducts various entrance tests namely EAMCET, ICET, EdCET, ECET, PGECET for the candidates residing in the state of Telangana.

Date of commencement of submission of online application forms - Feb 28, 2018
Last date for submission of application with a late fee of Rs 500 - Apr 17, 2018
Downloading of hall ticket those who’s submitted their application - Apr 20, 2018
without late fee
Last date for submission of application with a late fee of Rs 2000 - Apr 24, 2018
Last date for submission of application with a late fee of Rs 5000 - Apr 30, 2018
Downloading of hall ticket those who submitted their applications - May 02, 2018

Commencement of paper - May 07, 2018

EXAM PATTERN OF TS PECET 2018:

The examination for B.P.Ed (2 years) and U.G.D.P.Ed (2 years) will be divided into two sections:
Physical Efficiency Test
Skill Test in Games

In the physical efficiency test, the candidate including both men and women have to go through a test that would comprise of a number of games.

For Men- 100 meter run, putting the shot (6Kg), 800 meter run, long/high jump.

For Women- 100 meters run, putting the shot (4 KG), 400 meters run, long/high jump.

In the skill test in games, candidates would need to choose a particular game on which the candidate would be tested. The candidates have to choose between the list given below:
1. Ball badminton
2. Basketball
3. Cricket
4. Football
5. Handball
6. Hockey
7. Kabaddi
8. Kho-kho
9. Shuttle badminton
10. Tennis
11.Volleyball

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Candidate should be a Indian national
Should be a resident of the Telangana state only
For B.P.Ed, the candidate must have a three years graduation degree from a recognized university.
The candidate should be 19 years old, on July 01, 2018
For U.G.D.P.Ed, the candidate must have cleared his intermediate course from a recognized
institute in Telangana and also, should be above 16 years old, on July 01, 2018.
