April 14, 2021: Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Education Minister of India, has informed that the CBSE Class 12 Exams 2021, scheduled to begin from 4th May 2021 have been postponed in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak across the country. The decision to postpone the exams was taken in a high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "The Board Exams for Class 12th to be held from May 4th to June, 14th, 2021 are hereby postponed. These exams will be held hereafter", Nishank informed.

"The situation will be reviewed on 1st June 2021 by the Board, and details will be shared subsequently. A notice of at least 15 days will be given before the start of the examinations", he further added. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated that the well-being of the students has to be the top priority for the Government. He also stated that the Centre would keep in mind the best interests of the students and ensure that their health is taken care of at the same time their academic interests are not harmed.

CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2021

The CBSE Class 12 Examinations 2021, scheduled to be conducted between 4th May 2021 and 14th June 2021, have been postponed and the revised Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 Date Sheet 2021 will be announced after 1st June 2021 and 15 days notice will be given prior to the state of the examinations such that students can start preparing according to the examination onset date. Earlier, while announcing the CBSE Datesheets 2021, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had also informed that the CBSE 12th Exams 2021 will be held with a 30 percent reduced syllabus and 33 percent internal choice questions. Nishank also added that, "The records of all CBSE students who enrolled in the span of last 45 years will be digitalized. This will help citizens who enrolled after 1975 to get certificates easily. Further, CBSE will train 10 lakh teachers in the coming year to meet the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020".

CBSE Class 12 Examination Admit Cards can be downloaded online from the Official Website of the CBSE i.e. CBSE extends the Online Admit Card Generation Facility to all its affiliated schools through which using their Affiliation Code & School Code, schools can login and download the Admit Cards. Generally, CBSE Class 12 Admit Cards 2021 are available for download a month before the examination date, which should be in June 2021.

Amid growing concerns over the safety of students & teachers due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled its Class 12 (Senior Secondary) Examinations 2020 which were scheduled to be conducted between July 1 & 15, 2020. It announced the CBSE 12th Result on July 13, 2020. Last year, a total of 12,03,595 students registered and 11,92,961 appeared for the CBSE Class 12 Examination.
