CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Exams April-June 2022

CBSE 12th Term 2 Exams 2022 has been held from April 26, 2022 till June 15, 2022. Term 2 Exams were based on Case-Based / Situation Based, Open Ended - Short Answer / Long Answer Type. In case, COVID-19 Pandemic disrupts this format of descriptive exams, CBSE has clarified that it would conduct a 90-minute MCQ based exam similar to the CBSE 12th Term 1 Exam 2021-22. The final CBSE 12th Result 2022 is scheduled to be announced by July 2022 and it would carry 50% weightage of both Term 1 & 2 exams. CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Exam November-December 2021

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has scheduled to conduct its Senior School Certificate (Class 12) Examination for the Academic Session 2021-22 in two Terms: Term 1 Exams in November-December 2021 and Terms Exams in April-June 2022. The CBSE 12th Term 1 Exam 2021 has been held from December 1 till December 22, 2021 for the Major Subjects and from 16th November 2021 for the Minor Subjects. Term 1 Exams were of 90-minutes duration and of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format. Over 14 lakh students are slated to appear for the CBSE Class 12 Exams 2022 across the country. The CBSE 12th Term 1 Result 2022 has been announced on March 19, 2022.

Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on CBSE Class 12 Exams

The CBSE Class 12 Exams 2021 were cancelled due to the spiraling COVID-19 cases across the country. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he mentioned that the COVID-19 situation has affected the academic calendar and the issue of board exams has caused anxiety among students, parents & teachers and this must be brought to an end. CBSE 12th Results 2021 were then announced on the basis of a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner. "The COVID situation is a dynamic situation across the country. While the numbers are coming down in the country and some states are managing the situation through effective micro-containment, some states have still opted for a lockdown. Students, parents and teachers are naturally worried about the health of the students in such a situation. Students should not be forced to appear for exams in such a stressful situation", the Prime Minister had said.

FAQs on CBSE Class 12th Result 2022

The CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Exams have been held in November-December 2021 and the CBSE 12th Term 2 Exam has been completed in April-June 2022. Both the Term Exams carry a 50% weightage in the calculation of the final CBSE 12th Results 2022.
CASE 1: CBSE is able to conduct Class 12 Term 1 & 2 Exams as per schedule: Class 12th marks will be distributed equally between the two Term Exams to declare the Final Result.

CASE 2: CBSE is unable to conduct 12th Term 1 Exam 2021 as per Offline Schedule, but Term 2 Exams is conducted as decided: Students will appear for the Term I MCQ based examination online / offline from home. Weightage of Term 1 Exams will be reduced to calculate the final score and weightage of Term 2 exams will be increased.

CASE 3: CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Exams are held as scheduled, but CBSE is unable to conduct Term 2 Exams 2022 in the Offline Mode: The Final CBSE 12th Result 2022 will be announced on the performance of students in the Term I Examination and school internal assessments. The weightage of marks of Term I exam will be increased & that of Term 2 reduced to calculate final CBSE Class 12th Results 2022.

CASE 4: CBSE is unable to conduct both CBSE Class 12 Term 1 & 2 Exams 2021-22 normally: CBSE Class 12 Results 2022 will be declared on the basis of the Internal Assessment / Practical / Project Work and Theory marks of Term I and II exams taken by students from home and it will be subject to moderation or other measures.
CBSE will give a provision to re-check or verify the marks given in the CBSE Class 12 Results 2022. A student may contact his / her respective school authorities to apply for re-evaluation of answer scripts.
CBSE 12th Term 1 Result November-December 2021 has been announced on March 19, 2022, whereas the CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Results 2022 which is the final CBSE 12th Results 2022 have been announced on July 22, 2022.
