About Maharshi Dayanand University (Rohtak)

Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), formerly known as Rohtak University, was established in the year 1976 after the name of social reformer & founder of the Arya Samaj, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati. MDU Rohtak was awarded the recognition of an affiliating University in November 1978 by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Located in Rohtak, about 75 kms from the national capital Delhi, MDU Rohtak's campus is spread over an area of more than 600 acres. The University also has more than 250 affiliated colleges located in 7 districts of the State of Haryana.

MDU Rohtak Admission Information

Admissions to the UG & PG Programmes at MDU Rohtak is done on the basis of academic merit and the final result of qualifying exam is mandatory for admissions to the University. 85% of the sanctioned admissions intake at MDU Rohtak is reserved for the State Quota, which also includes the SC, ST, EWS etc categories. The Admission Applications are accepted online by the University and the fee is Rs.1000/- for the General Category and Rs.250/- for SC / BC Candidates of Haryana state only.
