The West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE) is responsible for the planning & coordination of the development of Technical Education in the state of West Bengal. The WBSCTE conducts the Diploma-level Examinations along with the JEXPO and VOCLET Examinations each year, for which numerous students appear across the state. Dates for both JEXPO & VOCLET 2024 will be announced by WBSCTE soon, for admissions in Polytechnics of West Bengal for the following courses:

- Diploma in Engineering & Technology in different disciplines
- Part Time Morning Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering
- Part Time Diploma in Mining Engineering
- Part Time Diploma in Electrical Engineering

The West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development (Technical Education Division) provides several Diploma, STVT & BOCE courses for students in the state of West Bengal. Admission to the First Year Classes of Diploma in Engineering & Technology courses in West Bengal is done through JEXPO and to the Second Year Classes of Diploma in Engineering & Technology is done through VOCLET, both of which are conducted by WBSCTE.
